Day 1 Kathmandu
Upon arrival in Kathmandu’s Tribhuvan International Airport, meet, assist and transfer to the hotel where welcome refreshments will be served and room check in assistance provided. Evening:Pre departure trip briefing followed by welcome dinner at a Nepali restaurant featuring cultural program. Overnight at hotel.

Day 2 Sightseeing tour of Kathmandu City
After breakfast, proceed for a sightseeing tour of Kathmandu City. It includes visit to the Hanuman Dhoka (Kathmandu Durbar Square) - an ancient durbar (palace) with its numerous old palaces, temples and pagodas, the Temple of Living Goddess “Kumari”, and the Kasthamandap Temple, which is believed to be constructed from the wood of a single tree from which Kathmandu derives its name. In addition also visit the Boudhanath Stupa - an ancient colossal stupa and the center of Tibetan Buddhism in the world and the Pashupatinath Temple- the Temple of Lord Shiva situated on the bank of the holy Bagmati River. PM: After lunch drive up to the Swayambhunath Stupa situated atop a hill from where you could get a bird’s eye view of Kathmandu Valley. The Swayambhunath Stupa is also known as the “Monkey Temple”!

 

 

Day 3 Drive to Chitwan National Park (Chitwan). En route commence rafting in the Trishuli River
After breakfast, start 5 hours (196kms.) scenic drive to Chitwan National Park, Chitwan via Prithwi Highway. En route stop at Khataudi (raft starting point) where there will be a short briefing followed by some demonstrations related with rafting. Shortly afterwards, commence exciting white water rafting in the Trishuli River for about 4 hours till we reach Kurintar (raft ending point). Initially, we begin with small rapids and soon catch up with bigger ones. After rafting, lunch at nice resort and continue drive to the Chitwan National Park, which is 70 kilometers from Kurintar and connected by the Prithwi Highway. Upon arrival at the Park entry point (Chitwan), met by naturalists / representatives from the jungle lodge and get transferred by Land rovers / canoes / elephants to the jungle lodge situated inside the Chitwan National Park. Evening: In the evening, the well stocked bar caters to the needs of the thirsty and a hearty meal of continental or Nepalese cuisine will be served around the campfire. Overnight at jungle lodge inside the park.

Day 4 Full-day jungle activities inside the Park
Early wake up call and proceed for an elephant ride or a jungle walk, to view the wildlife in their early repose. Spend 2-3 hours in the jungle, and then return to the camp for breakfast. Shortly afterwards, visit the elephant stables to get a firsthand knowledge on elephants from senior naturalists. Here one can witness the rare scene of elephants at bath. After a hearty lunch at camp, the afternoon is free for the much-deserved mid-afternoon siesta or a visit to the library for general in formations on the National park. In the late afternoon, there is a choice to participate in the programs offered at the camp, which includes jungle drives in Land Rovers visiting different lakes inside the National Park, Canoe rides/ floats or an escorted Nature walk and bird watching excursion. Dinner at jungle lodge inside the park. Overnight at jungle lodge inside the park.

Day 5 Drive to Pokhara (186 kms. / 4 hrs.)
After breakfast, get transferred to the park exit point, whereupon get in to a waiting vehicle and start 4 hours scenic drive to Pokhara - nestled in the tranquil valley (827m) on the laps of the mighty Annapurna Himalaya Range. Pokhara is also known as vacationer’s paradise. In the afternoon, proceed for a sightseeing tour of Pokhara City, which includes the Davis Falls, the Seti Gorge, the Bindabashini Temple and the Tibetan Refugee Camp. Sunset boat rides at Phewa Lake. Overnight at hotel.

Day 6 Fly back to Kathmandu
Pre-dawn wake up call and drive to Sarangkot to view a magnificent sunrise over the Annapurna Himalayan Range. Drive duration-30 minutes and 45 minutes hiking. View the sunrise and return back to the hotel for breakfast and some rest. Shortly afterward, proceed to Pokhara’s Domestic Airport, to board the 25 minutes scenic flight to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, meet, assist and transfer to hotel for refreshment and rest. Free afternoon for last minute shopping and packing. Farewell dinner at a nice restaurant in Thamel.

Day 7 Final Departure
Free until final departure transfer to the Tribhuvan International Airport.
