Delhi – Leh – Hemis Festival – Alchi – Leh
The Hemis Monastery celebrates the Tse-Chu festival on the birthday of Padmasambhava – the founder of Tibetan Buddhism. It is a 2 day festival, where the resident lamas perform sacred masked. Masks worn by the lamas represent various guardian divinities of the Drupka order, of which Hemis is the leading establishment in Ladakh.

Day 1 Delhi
On your arrival in Delhi, you are received at the Airport and escorted to the hotel.

Day 2 Leh
Morning fly Delhi – Leh. Arrive by late morning. Later explore the town of Leh.

Day 3 Leh
Today we do a day trip to Spituk Monastery and the Stok Palace.

Day 4-5 Hemis Festival
We spend the next two days taking day trips to Hemis and witnessing various religious and other activities as part of this colourful festival.

Day 6 Lamayuru/Alchi
Today we drive to Lamayuru and after visiting the monastery over there we drive to Alchi for an overnight stay.

Day 7 Alchi
Today we visit the Alchi Monastery and explore the Alchi Town.

Day 8 Leh
Today we drive back to Leh.

Today we explore the Shey and Thikse Monasteries.

Day 10 Delhi
Morning Fly to Delhi where our tour comes to an end.
